Dr. Linda Barstow McCormick of Carrollton, Georgia passed away at the age of 62 on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Emory University Hospital after a long battle with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Dr. McCormick was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on February 1, 1961 to Dr. William E. Barstow and Anne McElroy Cummings.

“Just found out that Dr. Linda McCormick passed. So heartbreaking. She was my girls Dr and saved my granddaughter Kyle’s life by sending her to columbus when she was born. Even after our concern of not sending her to CHOA she knew what she was talking about and ultimately saved Kyle’s life. I had no idea she was sick. Prayers for her family and friends. She will be missed,” a tribute post shared on Facebook said.
“Dr. Linda McCormick. She was my friend, my customer, lover of music, wine, yoga and eeked the most out of life. She made me laugh, she was a doctor to so many but the topic she talked about most was her family,” another post said.
